The second phase of the
Garden Improvement Project,
the East garden, is now
completed!  These images
evidence the attractive new
outdoor area now in use by
residents and visitors.  These
improvements add quality to
the daily life of residents and
were made possible only
through generous donations
from our friends and the
Countryside Auxiliary.

Improvements to the East and
West Courtyards will be the
final phase of the Project and
will require about $10,000 in
additional gifts to complete
.

About the Project
Countryside desires to improve the ability of residents to
access and use outdoor areas.  Planned improvements
to paving, shelter, landscaping, seating and plantings
will greatly enhance outdoor spaces making them much
more pleasant and useful for residents and visitors alike.
Included will be a child play area, enlarge pavilion,
improved lighting, attractive plantings, water features
and gardening opportunities for residents.

The pace and revised phasing our expansion plans
indicate that we will continue use of the current building
for the coming years, making it feasible to provide
improvements that will benefit current and future
residents in the existing facilities.  To avoid
overburdening our general operating budget, we must
rely on contributions to make these plans a reality.
Please consider how you can help us bring an improved
quality of life for residents through  the enjoyment of the
outdoors?

Final Phase: East & West Courtyards
These areas will receive landscaping, trees and
perennials.  The East will include a vegetable/herb
garden, the West a water feature.  This final phase will
greatly improve the views for those residents having a
window to either courtyard.  It will also create a pleasant
outdoor relaxation area protected from hilltop breezes.
