Many people may questions why a retirement community
needs contributions.  They charge high enough prices
they should not need outside help!  The fact is that most
Americans do not realize the limitations of government
funding programs, the large number of residents that no
longer can afford their care and the expense of extensive
medical services now common in long-term care facilities.

Did you know that:

  • Over 65% of residents in nursing care at
Countryside Christian rely on benevolent care.

  • For each of these individuals, this unfunded care
averages $79 per resident each day!  That amounts
to $28,835 over a year per resident.

  • About 20% of personal care residents rely on
    benevolent care as well.

  • For each of these individuals, this unfunded care
averages nearly $80 per resident each day!  That
amounts to $29,200 over a year per resident.

  • Our Endowment Fund (created and funded by donor
designated contributions to remain invested in
perpetuity) produces income to cover less than half
of the benevolent care we provide each year.
Absent of additional contributions, we must increase
our rates each succeeding year to cover this
    unfunded Benevolent Care.

Building Fund
Gifts to the Building Fund will help support badly needed
improvements to the campus and services we offer residents.
Our completed Master Plan for future growth will dramatically
improve our ability to better serve older adults for many
years to come and will require the strong and faithful support
of donors to make this vision a reality.
Endowment Fund
Gifts to the Endowment Fund of the Countryside Christian
Community remain invested in perpetuity providing on-going
interest income which is used annually to help fund the cost
year thereafter.
Benevolent Care
Gifts given directly to Benevolent Care are used immediately
to help fund the cost of services that are provided to
residents who are unable to cover the full cost of their care.
Though Countryside participates in third party government
funding programs, these resources do not cover the full cost
of the services we provide each day requiring us to rely on
contributions to make up this shortfall.
General Fund - Where Needed Most
Gifts made to the General Fund are used immediately toward
the area(s) of greatest need.  Gifts to the General Fund
provide the greatest flexibility to Countryside in directing
resources to those areas most important at any given time.
Planned Giving
Planning ahead is the easiest way to make larger gifts than
you may otherwise be able to give during your life.
Countryside offers a variety of opportunities, many of which
can offer important tax benefits.  These opportunities include:

Gift Annuities          Charitable Trusts             Stocks

Donations of Real Estate, Crops, Livestock or
               Gifts in Kind

Gifts through your Will or Retirement Accounts

Any such gifts may be designated as Memorial Gifts or Gifts
in Honor of a loved one if desired.  Consider including
Countryside Christian Community in your Will or as
beneficiary of a life insurance policy or retirement fund.  Your
generosity will reach many beyond your own years!
